Services
Support for life's most challenging moments.
Whatever you are navigating, therapy offers a space to understand it more clearly and move through it with greater confidence and ease.
Who I work with
I work with teenagers and adults experiencing a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties. The presentations listed below are some of the most common areas I support — but they are not exhaustive. If you are unsure whether what you are experiencing fits neatly into a category, please reach out. Many people I work with are navigating something that feels hard to name, and that is completely okay. Whether you are dealing with something that has built up over time or facing a specific challenge right now, I offer a collaborative, evidence-based approach tailored to your unique needs and goals.
The following are some of the groups I commonly work with — this is not an exhaustive list. If you are wondering whether I can support you, feel free to get in touch.
Anxiety
Understanding and managing worry, fear and panic.
Approaches used
Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people seek psychological support — and one of the most treatable. Whether you experience persistent worry, social anxiety, panic attacks, or a general sense of dread, therapy can help you understand what is driving your anxiety and develop practical strategies to manage it.
Using approaches drawn from CBT and ACT, we work together to identify unhelpful thought patterns, reduce avoidance behaviours, and build your capacity to respond to anxiety with greater flexibility and confidence.
Areas I can help with
- Generalised anxiety and persistent worry
- Social anxiety and fear of judgement
- Panic attacks and physical symptoms of anxiety
- Health anxiety
- Perfectionism and fear of failure
- Avoidance and safety behaviours
Depression
Reconnecting with yourself and what matters.
Approaches used
Depression can make even the simplest things feel heavy and out of reach. Low mood, loss of interest, fatigue, and a sense of disconnection from yourself and others are all signs that support may help.
Therapy provides a steady, non-judgemental space to explore what is contributing to how you feel and to gradually rebuild engagement with your life. Drawing on CBT, ACT and Positive Psychology, we work together to shift unhelpful patterns and reconnect with the things that give your life meaning.
Areas I can help with
- Persistent low mood and sadness
- Loss of interest or pleasure in activities
- Fatigue and low motivation
- Negative self-talk and self-criticism
- Withdrawal from relationships and activities
- Feelings of hopelessness or worthlessness
Stress and Burnout
Finding balance when demands feel overwhelming.
Approaches used
Chronic stress and burnout can take a serious toll on your mental and physical wellbeing. Work pressures, caring responsibilities, financial strain, and the relentless pace of modern life can all contribute to a state of exhaustion that is hard to recover from alone.
Therapy helps you identify the sources of your stress, understand your patterns of response, and develop sustainable strategies for managing demands and protecting your wellbeing. We also explore the values and boundaries that can help you build a more balanced life.
Areas I can help with
- Work-related stress and burnout
- Difficulty switching off or relaxing
- Overwhelm and feeling unable to cope
- Irritability and emotional exhaustion
- Physical symptoms of stress
- Difficulty setting boundaries
Life Transitions
Finding your footing through change.
Approaches used
Major life changes — even positive ones — can unsettle our sense of identity, purpose and stability. Relationship changes, career shifts, loss, parenthood, retirement, or simply a growing sense that something needs to change can all bring up difficult emotions and uncertainty.
Therapy offers a space to process what is happening, clarify what matters to you, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. I draw on ACT and other approaches to help you navigate change in a way that is aligned with your values.
Areas I can help with
- Relationship breakdown or divorce
- Career change or job loss
- Grief and bereavement
- Becoming a parent
- Retirement and identity shifts
- Moving or relocating
- Emerging adulthood and life direction
Trauma and PTSD
Processing the past to reclaim the present.
Approaches used
Traumatic experiences can leave lasting imprints on how we feel, think and relate to the world. Whether you have experienced a single traumatic event or prolonged difficult experiences, the effects can show up in many ways — intrusive memories, hypervigilance, emotional numbing, or difficulty trusting others.
I work with trauma in a careful, paced way — prioritising your safety and sense of control throughout. Drawing on evidence-based approaches, we work together to process what happened and reduce its ongoing impact on your daily life.
Areas I can help with
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Intrusive memories and flashbacks
- Hypervigilance and heightened startle response
- Emotional numbing or detachment
- Childhood or complex trauma
- Trauma related to accidents, illness or loss
Grief and Loss
Making space for loss, and for what comes next.
Approaches used
Grief is a deeply personal experience — there is no right way to grieve, and no set timeline. Whether you have lost someone close to you, experienced a significant life loss, or are grieving something less tangible like a relationship, a future you had imagined, or a version of yourself, therapy can offer a compassionate space to process your experience.
I approach grief with patience and care, helping you find ways to carry your loss while still engaging with life.
Areas I can help with
- Bereavement and loss of a loved one
- Complicated or prolonged grief
- Anticipatory grief
- Loss of identity, relationship or life direction
- Grief following diagnosis of illness
- Supporting adjustment after loss
Self-Esteem and Personal Growth
Building a kinder, more confident relationship with yourself.
Approaches used
Low self-esteem, self-doubt, and harsh self-criticism can quietly undermine many areas of life — relationships, work, and the ability to pursue what matters to you. Therapy offers a space to explore where these patterns come from and to develop a more balanced, compassionate relationship with yourself.
I draw on CBT, ACT and Positive Psychology to help you challenge unhelpful beliefs, build self-compassion, and take steps toward the life you want to live.
Areas I can help with
- Low self-worth and self-doubt
- Harsh inner critic and self-criticism
- Imposter syndrome
- Assertiveness and boundary setting
- People-pleasing patterns
- Personal growth and values clarification
